The Pembrokeshire Celebrant
FUNERALS & MEMORIALS
Pembrokeshire – Carmarthenshire – Ceredigion – Will travel further afield.
This is not a subject that you would want to be considering or dealing with, but I am grateful that you have taken the time to look and consider the possibility of using an Independent Celebrant.
The increase in the popularity of people using Independent Celebrants has arisen from families wanting to arrange personalised funerals or memorials that celebrate their loved one’s life and are not bound by set rules, regulations, or religion.
I work closely with you and take the time to learn about your loved one’s life, what they cared about, what they believed in and the legacy they have left behind. I ensure your wishes are fulfilled and create a significant and special ‘celebration of life’ service. Throughout the process, I can also provide comfort, support, and guidance where needed.
There are no rules that we need to follow. You can have a more traditional ceremony or a completely unique and alternative one. All that matters is that you get your day, when you want, where you want (if scattering or interning ashes), and in a way that represents the love, style, and personality of the person who has departed.
My duties typically include:
- Supporting the family through the ceremony planning
- Ensuring specific wishes are carried out
- Liaising with the funeral directors and/or crematorium/burial site
- Providing ideas for ways to create personal touches, including a visual tribute
- Offering support, guidance, and advice where needed
- Helping the family to plan and arrange the order of service, including music, readings, and poems
- Creating the eulogy for the ceremony alongside the family
- Hosting and officiating the ceremony on the day
- Offering support to the family on the day
